Financial Accountant

Job Description:High performing real estate brokerage is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our highly dedicated, friendly and customer service oriented team. Reporting to the CFO the main responsibilities include: * Overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions and coordinate all month-end and year-end cycle * Taking ownership of specific sections of the monthly reporting file as assigned * Preparing multi-department budgets * Improving and help standardizing processes and procedures * Managing payroll for approximately 45 employees, including source deductions and T4 filings * Mentoring and motivating a small team * Assisting with all bookkeeping aspects to ensure service standards are met * Communicating with colleagues with enquiries * Preparing and authorizing electronic payment files * Preparing bank deposits and cheque runs * Providing detailed reports * Performing other duties as requested Experience / Skills: * 5 years of accounting experience * Post-Secondary Education, college or university preferred * Ability to work independently * Detail Oriented * Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge * Time management skills * Customer service skills * Ability to work in a team environment
