ME AS A TUTOR Tutoring 1-1 and in small-groups has been my full-time job since 2016. I take what I do seriously and have taught hundreds of students over the years. I am patient and enjoy seeing students grow.
Furthermore, my enthusiasm for English, French, and Social Studies is infectious. Most of my students end up developing a newfound appreciation for their studies.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I can relate to my students and explain academic concepts clearly. This is because I was not naturally a good student. I struggled academically for a significant portion of grade school. I especially had a hard time when it came to the critical thinking and writing skills required for French, English, and Social Studies. Through sheer effort and parental support, I learned to turn my grades around.
Now it's my turn to help others.

MY ACADEMIC BACKGROUND After finishing K-12 in the French Immersion program, I started my studies at the University of Calgary. I graduated in 2014 with a language and literature degree in French and Spanish. Most of my electives were in the humanities (e.g., English Literature, World Religions) or in Linguistics, meaning that almost every class I took over my 4-year degree had a heavy prehension and essay ponent. Therefore, I would read numerous academic articles along with works of contemporary and classical literature every year. I would then write five to ten 2500 to 10,000 word papers per year in English, French, or Spanish based on what I read.

RATES AND LOCATION Most of my classes right now are online, but I can also teach in-person in NW Calgary. Here are my rates:
→ Private classes. The rate starts at $45/hr. → Semi-private classes (groups of 2-3 people). The rate starts at $32/hr per person.
