Originally published in Britain by British “Scholars”, brought to North America in the late 70s. 26 nicely bound hardcover Encyclopaedia size books, richly illustrated. Pretty tame by today’s standards, a bit dated (especially in discussion of venereal disease : published before the advent of AIDS / HIV) Almost quaint by certain standards but very nice illustrations / pictures on good, glossy pages. Nice reading of attitudes from 35 + years ago. Illuminating & Educational. $250 for the set. (Offers considered) ….. …..RARE COMPLETE SET!
