Dodge Ram 246D **FRESHLY REBUILT/UPGRADED** - 4 position ELECTRIC SHIFTED TRANSFER CASE - as furnished as (1 of 2 Transfer Cases offered in 2009/2010 - Dodge Ram Pickup - 1500 models). The other mon Transfer Case used in 2009/2010 is a 243D). ** REBUILT/UPGRADED WITH AN 'AFTERMARKET' ** PUMP-RUB KIT ** the 'PUMP RUB KIT' - PREVENTS THE INTERNAL LUBRICATING PUMP FROM RUBBING THROUGH THE BACK HALF OF THE CASE .....WITHOUT THIS KIT INSTALLED, ....it CREATES A small HOLE (that over time, es larger) FROM WHICH THE OIL RUNS OUT - then runs DRY. ** (there is a picture is of a very bad/unusable REAR SLIP YOKE - using It, will quickly ruin/grind out - the rear bushing, of a newly rebuilt transfer case in a very short time).
** BRAND NEW CLUTCHES INSTALLED - that e worn out when the T. Case is used in 'FULL TIME ALL WHEEL DRIVE'
** IMPORTANT - Buying a used TRANSFER CASE (not really been tested under real world circumstances) - that HAS NOT BEEN REBUILT, will VERY LIKELY result in a waste of you're time and money - letting you down very soon after installation, if not upon installation. ** I often receive calls from people wishing that they did not first buy a used/untested 246 type) that were effectively junk, that had 'one foot in the ground'. Some of the prices that the Wreckers charge for these are really $ high!
