Dave Guardala (B&S) Alto Saxophone

These don'e up for sale very often. This is a one owner Dave Guardala alto made by B&S in Germany. I was told that it is an early one as it was purchased in the early 90's with a serial number of 01779. It has a possibly unique lacquer which is original and about 95% plus. It is in excellent condition with almost all of the original pads, a straight body, no pull down and no major dents. There were a few minor dings, most of which were removed with the exception of a few in the bottom bow. There was also one resolder required on a key guard post. I re-sealed the body/bow connection, check the neck tenon for leaks and did a full COA to make sure it is in top playing condition. This was built as a pro quality horn, but I would consider it more of a beginner pro horn. The key work is snappy and solid with all ribbed construction and adjust screws. It has a great tone and plays easily from top to bottom. It would be perfect for an advancing student or anyone wishing to step up to a good quality horn that will last them a long time. Local buyers will also get a one year warranty with the purchase.
