Customer Marine Shuttle Boat Operator

We are currently looking for the following position:
TITLE: CUSTOMER SHUTTLE BOAT OPERATOR
The candidate must be willing to relocate to Sioux Narrows, Ontario (housing and meals provided). Must have previous boating experience.
This position runs from May October and has candidate based our of our Wiley Point Lodge resort location.

WE ARE SEEKING 2 DRIVERS: (please read carefully)
One Shuttle Driver to live and work at our drive-in mainland Totem Lodge/ Yellowbird Lodge resort locations.
One Shuttle Driver to live and work at our remote, boat-access only Wiley Point Lodge resort location.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties of the Customer Shuttle Barge Driver include but are not limited to the following:
Operate our fleet of 28 Stanley Boats with twin 250hp Evinrude e-tec outboards up to 45MPH
Hauling 4 customers to 20 customers at a time between our resort location via water ways
Ensure vessel is fully equipped w/ safety equipment before leaving the dock (life jackets, ropes, safety gear, etc)
Drive customers safely to their 1 of 3 drop-off destinations
Handle X2 garbage & grocery runs from our remote lodge to Sioux Narrows weekly
Fueling & oiling your vessel in-between all runs
Keeping the Stanley Boat in clean and washed conditions at all times
Operating 3 different Stanley vessels at any given time
Operating a 19 console steering boat w/ 135hp Evinrude e-tec for smaller loads/ groups of 2-4 people
Reporting/ trouble shooting any issues that may arise with vessels immediately to on-site mechanics
Be willing to help in other departments
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently or part of a team
- Must have valid Ontario boaters license or willing get one before employment
- Must have knowledge of GPS systems and to navigate waters safely
- Must have previous boating experience
- Must have valid driver license with clean drivers abstract available before employment
- No prior issues such as DUI, or any other motor vehicle or marine offences on record
- A good solid knowledge of navigating water ways or extreme willingness to learn
- Knowledge & understanding of buoys or willing to learn
- Self-motivated
- Exceptional customer service skills, good munication skills
- Takes pride in a clean and organized work environment
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Able to lift 50 lbs,
- Reliable and punctual and able to get up for early mornings on own and be self motivated
- Must be willing to sometimes work 8-12 days depending on customers checking in/ out
- Enjoys being around people

About the Resort Locations
Totem Lodge/ Yellowbird Lodge
Are both drive in locations are side-by-side. We tend to 80% American clientele who e to know and love our attention to detail and 5-star world-renown service!
These are more Cabin/ Resort style setting with American Plan packages (all-inclusive) style meal plans, but our restaurant is open to the public as well, and tends to get very busy. This is a 250-bed resort/ with 60 staff members.
Yellowbird Lodge caters to fishing guests, as well as specializes in weddings, conferences, large scale private events, and remains open throughout the summer and winter seasons, where Totem Lodge will shut down for winter.
Wiley Point Lodge
This beautiful off-the-grid location, is Canadas best kept secret and boasts 125 customer beds and 30 staff members.
Wiley features a large 125-person dining room, massive lake front patio, 2 bars, games rooms, over 50 boats, and is spread across 10 acres of well-kept forest land.
This boat-accessible remote location is located just a short 40-minute boat ride from Totem and Yellowbird Lodge and runs on 24/7 generator power, and is a world-class fishing destination that caters to upper scale American Clientele. This location is 100% American Plan (all-inclusive) and is open to the public which sees anywhere from 30-150 off-lake (walk-ins) visitors daily!
