Custom Guitar Amplifiers - Built to Suit

I build guitar amplifiers. Not the solid-state (re-issue) stuff, these are hand-wired reproductions of the original, legendary amplifiers of the past including Fender, Marshall, Vox, Hiwatt and more. I typically build all of my amplifiers from scratch, sourcing only high-end, quality parts (Hammond/Mercury Magnetics transformers and chokes, F&T/Sprague/Sozo Capacitors, Vishay resistors, CTS pots, Carling Switches, etc.).
The cabinets are built locally in Ontario by Veteran Guitar Cabinets. I will consider sourcing elsewhere at buyer's request.
I currently only have time for 15 to missions per year so please plan ahead and schedule your project well in advance (6 to 8 weeks lead-time is typical).
I will also do kit builds so if there is a kit out there that you have had your eye on, please contact me for details.
Buyer is responsible for cost of all parts, cabinet and shipping + cost mission. missions range from $500 to $2200 - depending plexity of build, customizations (Master Volume, Adjustable Bias, Negative Feedback Switching, etc.). A full breakdown of all costs is provided and agreed upon before mences but here's a bit of a menu to give you a sense of pricing:
Princeton Reverb (AA1164) - circa 1965 (Blackface) Standard: $2250 Premium: $2850 + Tax
Deluxe Reverb, Vibroverb, Vibrolux, Super Reverb (AB763) - circa 1964 (Blackface) Standard: $3200 Premium: $4000
Fender Deluxe (5E3) - circa 1959 (Tweed) Standard: $2400 Premium: $3000
Fender Twin (5E8A) - circa 1959 (Tweed) Standard: $2850 Premium: $3400
* All prices are estimates only and subject to change according to cost of materials. You will be provided a final quote for authorization before proceeding with a project.
There are of course lots of PCB re-issues out there (and lots of inexpensive 'clones' too), but if you want a faithfully recreated amplifier that sounds like it was intended to sound, you'll need a professionally crafted, hand-wired duplication of the original circuit. This is what is being offered here.
Amplifier and cabinet are delivered with 1 year parts warranty (not including speaker and tubes). Damage due to misuse or shipping misadventure is not covered. Local pick-up is preferred - can also meet up anywhere in the GTA. I service what I sell. All sales are final.
