I have a good number of plants still and I can get roots if you need them. Please contact me if you want frey starts or roots.
Comfrey is an amazing plant - use its leaves for mulch and to make an post tea. Plant it near your fruit trees to suppress weeds and feed the tree. Feed it to your farm animals! It's a perennial and spreads slowly by roots, maxing out at about 3 feet in diameter. You can chop and drop it 3-4 times a year.
Bocking frey is sterile and can only be propagated with a root or crown cutting. I sell potted root and/or crown cuttings as plant starts for $2. I also sell root pieces that you can grow yourself.
A root piece is approximately 1-1.5", costs $1, is typically harvested in spring. I send them as longer pieces, usually around 4-9".
