Classical and Flamenco Guitar Lessons

After teaching classical guitar in the Spanish Conservatory system in Andalucia, Spain for 20 years, I now offer private lessons in Classical, Spanish Flamenco Guitar, in person in Calgary and/or online. Lessons are tailored and flexible to suit individual needs and music goals; structured and progressive for optimal learning es. I offer technical preparation for the Royal Conservatory examinations, which provide a national standard for students, parents, and teachers to track and measure progress and achievements. Theory classes are also offered for exam preparation. Bio: After initiating her classical guitar studies at MRU conservatory, she was accepted into the music program at UC Santa Barbara where pleted studies in the honors program of guitar performance. In her final year, she was awarded the Golden Key National Honors Society Award for the most outstanding 4th-year student in her field. This same year she was awarded a Rotary Scholarship to study in Spain with the renowned flamenco guitarist Mario Escudero. After her year of study with Mario Escudero, she stayed in Spain for 30 years during which time pleted her degree in classical guitar at the Superior Conservatory of Music in Seville and went on to teach in the Andalusian Conservatories for 20 years. Recently, she returned to Canada and offer instruction in Classical and Flamenco Guitar. Her students are consistently Gold Medalists and achieve the highest grades in their RCM exams.
