TUBE-LIKE FET SOUND, TOP OF THE LINE 1971 MODEL

A FAIRLY RARE TUNER, NICE, ALL-ORIGINAL, SERVICED, WORKS AND SOUNDS LIKE NEW

It makes for a perfect match for SA-900 amplifier, also SA-7100, SA-9100, Sansui AU-555, AU-999, Marantz 1040, and a number of other smaller footprint vintage amps. The audiophile sound quality parable to that of small Marantz 1968-1977 production tuners, but this Pioneer has much better sensitivity/selectivity. In other words, it is just as good as Marantz 112, but pulls in more stations and costs less.

All fuses are original.

This TX-900 will be tested for local Ottawa area buyer at the front door with a vintage amp and speakers. Can be shipped in Canada, keep reading.

DESCRIPTION:

The Pioneer TX-900 is one of very few professional type AM/FM tuners made today, designed for maximum sensitivity and perfect reception even in weal signal areas. The unit includes 3 FETs and 2 RF stages in the front end for improved signal to noise ratio and stable reception. It has a pair of crystal filters in the IF section for remarkable selectivity and capture ratio. Other features include twin tuning meters, selective muting switch and a design of brushed chrome and Brazilian rosewood.
