** INTER-PROVINCIAL SHIPPING AVAILABLE - IF PRACTICAL **
CHEVROLET / GMC TRANSFER CASE - 246 or 246GM (**NP8 - RPO CODE) - two models that fit vehicles with 4L60E and 4L80 transmissions - 4 position electric shift dash switch type - the single pigtail has one 7 pin rectangular plug ** 'FRESHLY REBUILT and UPGRADED with a PUMP RUB KIT (** not used - since being rebuilt)
** FITS: GM VEHICLES (2003 - 2007 - Classic Style) 1500 - with 4L60E, 4L80E Transmissions - **ONE RECTANGULAR PLUG TYPE only** - see picture (electric shift motor in picture, is not included)
** Mates to a 4L60E (SILVERADO 1500, SIERRA 1500, SUBURBAN 1500, AVALANCHE 1500, TAHOE 1500, YUKON 1500) - having a (4 - position dash switch). ++ ** ALSO HAVE .... the ** 4L80E type 246 - 'AUTO TRAC TYPE' - that fits; .... 1500HD, 2500 and 3500 (non Allison, Duramax transmission) with a 6.0 V-8 ** - 4 position dash switch.
** BOTH TYPES are REBUILT WITH AN 'AFTERMARKET' ** PUMP-RUB KIT ** that PREVENTS THE INTERNAL PUMP FROM RUBBING THROUGH THE BACK HALF OF THE CASE .....WITHOUT THIS KIT INSTALLED, ....USUALLY CREATES A small HOLE FROM WHICH THE OIL RUNS OUT - Then the transfer case runs DRY.
** (The 6th picture is of a very bad/unusable REAR SLIP YOKE) - using It will very quickly, ruin/grind out - the rear pressed-in bushing in the tail-cone, of a newly rebuilt transfer case in a very short time) - 7th picture is a brand new Rear Slip Yoke that I can supply as well as the matching u-joint.
** IMPORTANT - Buying a used TRANSFER CASE (not really been tested under real world circumstances) - that HAS NOT BEEN REBUILT, will VERY LIKELY result in a waste of you're time and money - letting you down very soon after installation, if not upon installation. ** I often receive calls from people wishing that they did not first buy a HIGH MILEAGE WORN-OUT - used/untested 246 (4L60E/4L80E types) that were effectively junk, (that had 'one foot in the ground'). Some of the prices that the Wreckers charge for these used ones (especially the harder to find - the 4L80E version) are very high, given the actual condition internally!
