Your finished product will be a unique, valuable, and rare personal gift someone will be proud to display in their house. Arbutus is one of the hardest Canadian and least porous hardwoods. It would be difficult for you to find another cutting board made with this hard species of wood. Description Hand-crafted in Arbutus with Walnut strips. Finished with food-safe oil and polished with beeswax. Construction - The board is cut from a large solid block and then milled to approximately 1" thick. Measures - 22" x 11" x 1" thick. Care - Hand wash with soap and water. Refresh the oil finish when the board starts looking dry with mineral oil (Butchers Block Oil). If required, a groove for liquid drainage can be included. My cutting boards can be made from other materials. For example, Maple and Bamboo are two popular materials that protect against porosity and are resistant to staining. As seen from the primary photo, I mend the centre position of your personalized text, which will allow for a large monogram engraving, and provides the best display of your text. Alternatively, the bottom correct corner position allows for a smaller yet esthetically looking engraving and is excellent for functional purposes.
