Caterham Cars introduced the SV back in 2001 to modate the slightly larger driver. Standard equipment on all Caterham SVs includes: light weight unpainted alloy body posite fenders & nose cone, alloy fuel tank, four wheel duel-circuit disc brakes, De-Dion rear suspension, adjustable ride-height Bilstein coil over dampers, wide track front suspension, full weather equipment, heater and FIA roll bar. This 2008 Caterham SV Hayabusa GSX-R has been optioned with some very tasteful and practical additions which include: AP Racing 4 piston brake calipers, uprated and increased dimension ventilated discs with stainless hoses, stainless adjustable camber top-joints, adjustable rear sway-bar, fully adjustable Watts linkage, carbon fiber lower front wishbone aero foils, polished carbon/stainless Arrow exhaust, black pack, competition oil cooler, high volume alloy twin fan radiator, lowered 5 inch light weight head lamps, Aero fuel cap, carbon fiber nose-cone whiskers, high down force & vented nose cone, carbon wings ($6000 option) adjustable black petition style bucket seats with red piping (expensive option), OMP 6 point harness, lowered floors, (one of the very best options from Caterham Cars) additional instrumentation mounted on carbon, side-screen armrests, 7 logo hood bag, Momo quick release steering wheel, 12V power socket, master ON/OFF power switch, half-doors, wind deflectors, starter button, 7 logo mats, storage bin, hi visibility Led brake light, Led headlights, Led front and rear turn signals, built in fire suppression system, carbon license plate holder, light weight Motorsport rims 9.5x15 (R) 6.5x15 (F) fitted with R-Comp Avon ZZS F 195/50R15 R 245/40R15 tires spare wheel, jack and toolkit. The engine and transmission have recently been upgraded by a well-known Pro Hayabusa Race Engine builder. New parts included were: Fully worked cylinder head with 5 angle valve seats cut for flow, uprated head gasket, titanium springs & retainers, uprated exhaust cam, adjustable Vernier cam wheels, manual chain tensioner, uprated high flow matched injectors, Carrillo rods, forged JE pistons, 1441cc big bore engine block kit, race balanced crankshaft, large stud kit, uprated high volume oil pump, Brise heavy duty starter with built in sprag gear, high output stator, uprated alternator, uprated K&N crankcase breather, stainless steel windage tray, an oil accumulator (aqua-sump), 5 micro fuel filter with fuel pressure gauge, uprated water pump and ceramic coated headers inside & out. Also fitted during this hugely expensive upgrade was the very latest (fully programmable) Power Commander, with optional Auto-Tune and switchable map feature, timing retard eliminator, Quaife ATB LSD, along with a new lithium battery and. Finally plete set of new stainless steel & silicon hoses were fitted throughout. Needless to say the engine is very strong, giving this 1190 pound car electrifying performance of 0-100 km 2.9 seconds. The 6 speed sequential dog transmission was treated to the same level of detail and built for reliability as well as power. Fitted with new dogs, uprated output shaft, quick access clutch cover, HD clutch springs, Track King clutch, forged race clutch basket, and shifter kit and Healtech Led gear indicator, the list goes on and on. The amount of items that were retained from the old engine and transmission that went back in could be held in one hand. To find a used Caterham SV in this condition would be quite an undertaking, finding one with this spec, would be close to impossible.
