Various cat & small dog surgical recovery suits.
Brand new, unused Rainbow or Avacado suit: $10/each or 2 for $15. Fit is, as is.
Kitten or miniature Dog suits: $5 each. Elephants or High Skies. Custom fitting. (elephants were bought online & are a slightly different style.
Adult Cat or Small Dog suits: $5 each. Dark or Light Grey and Navy. Custom fitting.
Recovery Collar, Outer Space themed: $10.
The custom fitted suits are made with soft cotton with no seams along the abdomen, making it fortable and non-irritating for your pet.
In the custom suits, cats and dogs can freely use the bathroom without the suit being affected. For male dogs, only a small hole has to be cut to modate your pet. Once the suit is tied and adjusted to size, there's no worry of your cat fouling the suit. If a mess happens however, the suit can be quickly washed and dried.
The suits are not only hypoallergenic, custom fitting fortable, but your cat can still bathe itself, thereby increasing your fort and self-soothing abilities, something the recovery cone doesn't allow for, making for a fortable and happier, post-surgery cat.
They keep the surgery area dry and free of dirt and bacteria, lessening the chance of infection. (Always keep incision area dry until healed).
This adjusted style I used on my cat, after hearing that a similar style was great for cats like mine, who hate wearing clothes and who lay down or freeze when put into clothing. She adjustedthan walking a little funny, she had no problems living with the suit on.
The first time I tried the originally purchased style, she escaped it within a couple of hours. I then cut a new one and made adjustments to the the first style. The second style I made (pictured above), stayed on for a total of 8 days without any adjustments, until after she stretched out the fabric by repeatedly licking the material when bathing in order to make her escape!
By then her stitches had already healed, but obsessive grooming or highly intelligent cats may need their suits adjusted and knots tightened after 5 or 6 days of wear. Pick up west end of Kingston. Covid and smoke free home.
