Discover Cackellac Poultry Shelters - the rolling chicken coop! These chicken tractors make it easy for you to manage small or large flocks of chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese or game birds out on pasture.
Cackellac shelters are designed to make it easier to move daily to keep chickens in a healthy environment all summer, with a constant supply of bugs and grass. This helps cut back grain consumption and makes tastier meat as well!
Cackellac shelters are a well-built structure, made in Canada using quality materials. They have 1 inch x 1 inch welded wire mesh on four sides to keep out predators; all hot dip galvanized steel frame; heavy tarp cover. Wheels are easy to engage to move the pen. One person can push even the largest model.
The sides of the Model 1312 close for chilly weather and open up for ventilation. Side closure panels are an option for the other sizes.
Other options include aluminum nest boxes, roosts, automatic waterers and hanging feeders.
The large model (model 1312) can double as a greenhouse, if you get the optional End-Closure kit and clear cover. Truly dual purpose!
Choose the right size for your farm or backyard: The largest model, the Cackellac 1312, measures 13 feet wide by 16 feet long, and sells for $4095.00* picked up at Somerset, NS. (Can be drop shipped to your location for a reasonable rate. Please call.)
The medium size model 812 measures 8 feet by 10 feet, which is big enough for about 35 chickens, and sells for $1896.00*
The smallest Cackellac shelter is the model 322, which is perfect for backyards. It will house up to 6 chickens all summer. This model makes a great cold frame or greenhouse in the spring, when outfitted with the optional end panels and clear roof. A great multi-use shelter! $696.00*
