Don't be fooled by his size, he identifies as a 5lbs lapdog. Location: OliDog Rescue Douro-Dummer ON Contact: OliDog Rescue Name: Bruce Breed: Great Dane/Mastiff Weight: 110lbs Gender: Male Spayed/neutered: YES Age: 12 months Reason for Intake: Was not doing well in a shelter environment. Up to date on shots: Yes Good with dogs: YES Good with cats: WILL CHASE Good with kids (+ ages): LOVES children, very gentle, though he can get excited. Good with strangers: OK. Needs a few minutes to smell new people but warms up quickly. Guarding issues: None observed. Behavioural issues: None. Still a puppy doing puppy things. House trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes, goes in and out of pen no issues. Destructive: Puppy, needs chew toys and exercise. Leash skills: Needs work, would benefit from a gentle lead/halty. Okay with manipulation: Yes, very passive. mands: Sit, give paw, down, off, no, come. Food on now: Mix of grain free poultry free kibble. Medical issues: Loss of some vision in left hand-eye. Bio: Bruce is a big gentle boy, but is still a puppy! It's hard to remember when he looks like a small horse. Bruce had a rough start, and has visible scars in his eye from not receiving medical treatment. He has moved past his insecurities and is a brave playful pup now. Bruce has been hanging out with a toddler and has no prey drive towards running babies and does make a conscious effort not to knock them over. He is a big goofball though and can get excited when playing.
