Fishing from a kayak allows you to get into some of the most fertile shallow waters that are all but inaccessible from even the lightest aluminum fishing boats. The simplicity is what many anglers find most appealing: no boat license, no launch fees, no maintenance, no fuel or having to pull/park/store a trailer. Just throw it on the roof, load up your gear and off you go.
