When Porsche designs a vehicle not only do they ensure that it is a thrill to drive they also ensure that the vehicle is useable everyday. This 1999 Carrera is no exception. Comfortable, safe, reliable and of course since its a Porsche it will put a smile on your face. Buy it, drive it, maintain it and sell it for the same dollar or more in the future. I miss the air cooled 911s and the hope is to purchase another. Since purchasing this car, I have had it detailed and ceramic polished. Repaired the daylight running lights, yearly oil changes and a replaced the frunk and engine bay hood struts. It had an air bag warning light, most likely due to poor connections under the seats. A mon problem with these cars. I fixed it twice and bought a Porsche OBD scan tool to reset the light. I will sell it with the car. It’s okay now. Everything else works as it should. I switched to synthetic engine oil when I purchase the vehicle a now have the typical seepage due to being a 24-year-old car. I have not added any additives which may help or stop the seepage. If you “google” 911 problems, you may be alarmed about IMS failure. Investigate further and you will understand it applies to the 2000 and newer 996s. (Even then, failure is less than 3% albeit an expensive repair.) This car was specially ordered by the original owner. It has all the whistles and bells. The stereo was replaced but the original will go with the car. Note the dark smoky wheels, they are original and very mon.
