This is a Laughing Loon Firestar model built by their plans. I have been the proud owner for the last eight years and have taken this beautiful kayak on Georgian Bay expeditions and local day paddles. It is extremely stable in rough water and is known as the "surf board you sit in". At 17 feet and 21 inches wide it is a fast craft with enough volume for multi day/week trips. Weight is right at 40 pounds with a new coat of varnish and is ready for your adventures. Suited for a paddler between 150 and 220 pounds. More information about the design and model is in the link below: It is a work of art and a joy to paddle! I have a spray skirt, cockpit cover, paddle as shown e with this eye-popper! It's time for a new paddler as I have "jumped ship" (pun intended) and gone back to a canoe. I may consider a 15 foot Swift Prospector Kevlar canoe or similar unit as trade or partial trade if you are jumping ship as well. I am located in St. Catharines near the Hospital for pick up.
