How would you like to live in a tiny home you built yourself in a place where you could garden, raise animals, hike, write, paint, take photos, make music, craft or whatever, in the middle of nature.
It would be powered by solar and/or wind, heated by wood and built to fortable, safe, secure and moveable by trailer.
You can do this even if you've never done any of it before, as long as you're willing to learn. We have decades of experience in everything involved and are quite happy to help you learn everything you need to know.
You will need something to live in - Tent, yurt, trailer, RV or whatever you'fortable with. You will want some type of heat source, whether that's a small tent wood stove, candle heater, gravity fed pellet stove, or gas/fuel/propane based heaters. Early spring and late fall, this is an absolute necessity and even some days during the summer you'll want it on cold, wet days.
You would live in this while building. The exterior shell of the home would have to be finished by the end of fall. You would be doing this with no power unless you have solar, wind or fuel powered generators. You would only have the water you brought in and your wastes will have to be taken to a registered lagoon.
Rent is negotiable and can be paid by helping us around the property or paid in cash. You will need enough money to buy your own food and other necessities as well as materials to build.
If you need a job, we can likely help you find a job in the area, as long as you are willing to work. Please note that sex will never be asked for, or accepted in exchange for rent.
This is our home, where we currently live in a trailer with solar and wind power, while we build our own tiny home to live like this. We are simply offering to share our land and experience with others.
First and foremost, this is a safe place for anyone we invite to be here. Anyone making it unsafe for others, will be forced to leave. Racists, sexists, transphobes, predators or the like will not be tolerated.
Drinking and mild drug use is fine. Habitual or addicted users of 'hard' drugs, including alcoholics are discouraged, both because it makes others unsafe and because there is no way to get what you need out here.
No kids, everyone must be 18+. This isn't because we don't like kids, it's to avoid any issues concerning child welfare as there is no access to a school bus and well-meaning people in the area might be inclined to concern themselves with their welfare.
This is in Northern Ontario in the Timmins/Cochrane area. Although it would be better if you can drive and have a vehicle, we can work around it if you don't, but don't expect trips to town every day. Note that if you click on the map for the ad, the location isn't correct.
Internet is available here through cellular. We do have a connected local network for ourselves that you will have access to for email munications, but you will have to get your own if you want to do any type of streaming or gaming.
