But also enjoys the open highway. I am very much willing to train anyone with a do or die work ethic. Who has a very good strong work ethic. English is pretty much mandatory. You have to be able municate. You need to be able to spell. You need to be able to read English. It’s a matter of safety. Because a big part of our job is the dispatches. We use WhatsApp and text messaging municate big-time. And you need to be able to read the dispatch sheets. And fill them in. I am once again as I said, very much happy to train the RIGHT candidate. This is a job that I can honestly say isn’t for everybody.

I will happily pay somebody $20/hr for the first 200 hours. Easy/fast to accumulate. And then you get a raise based on performance after that. A driver can potentially be making as much as $388/ day by the end of 90 days. If they have no experience. Strong work ethic is everything. Your potential after that pletely up to how hard you wanna work and make money. One thing that I do implement, is that we do, do random drug and alcohol testing. We don’t care if you smoke weed at home. Just as long as you don’t at work. D&A Testing On a case by case basis. Don’t give us a reason to implement it and we’re good. I don’t care what you do when you’re off duty time. We will be offering full benefits here in the near future.

We have three different hiring packages,

For example only: where you can do one run to Winnipeg a week. Or you can do as much as two runs. Or you can do as much as two to Winnipeg and then one run between Calgary and Edmonton.

We may first start you off as a driver during running between Calgary Edmonton First. You will pany another driver as a co-driver for the first 200hrs. If you’re a new Class 1 driver and we require additional training, you may be required plete 600 hours prior to full non-probation pay rate.

You must not be afraid to crawl in to tight spaces under a 80000 pound vehicle. You must not be afraid of heights. And being in shape is kinda a prerequisite. This isn’t a job for unhealthy folks.

Mandatory load securement and vehicle inspections are required every 3.5 hours of driving. Or 300 km. Which es first. It takes you five minutes of your time. 15 minutes. We pay for that time. We pay you to be safe.

Once you are given your own truck, and trailer, we load you up with chains. Wheel straps. A load bar. And anything else that is required to do this job. If you lose stuff, It may affect your performance bonus. Performance bonuses are paid after one year of employment and every six months thereafter. Your performance bonus is based on fuel consumption. Maintenance on said vehicle, in the event of a necessary repairs that could’ve been prevented if preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections are done properly. If your truck breaks down because of your negligence, you sit at home.

You can with this career, potentially, make as high $180’000 a year after 2yrs of solid experience.

Once you e good at your job, you will learn that you can get the job done and make decent money and have your weekends off to spend with your family. Something a lot of us and take it for granted in our lives. Family is important. Personal time is important. We understand this as pany. Together we are a team here. Everybody helps everybody.

We do favour folks who like working on their own vehicles. People that don’t mind getting dirty. We do not discourage drivers from working on their own trucks. Sometimes it is quicker for a driver to do an oil change in the yard then it is to wait a day for an oil change.

We only run the prairies. And our circuit is Calgary to Winnipeg. Edmonton to Winnipeg. And those cities in between.

Criminal background check. You get your criminal background check from Alan at legalese in Calgary. You can literally get it within four hours or sometimes right away. Usually 24hrs. Get there at 9am appt and sometimes he can do it right away. We prefer the finger print database check.

Copy of all course certificates you may have.

Date you acquired your class 1. A photo of yourself A link to any social media pages you may have. We’re not overly concerned w your personal life, except when it affects our image. We can’t be employing someone who may be affiliated w elements of pedo society.

And if you are hired, we do require a letter of proof of insurance history. From the panies you were insured under as a class one driver. Or mercial policy that you were insured under. What you need with that, and how to get that, is by Contacting a former employer, ask him what pany they were with. Asking for the policy number. Typically they can send this request off to their broker. And calling that pany and getting a letter of experience. Some employers can be difficult to get this from. We understand this. We do make concessions in the event that does happen.

The insurance prerequisites in the car hauling industry are very stern and pretty strict. You’re potentially carrying $2 million load.
