----an Antique cane/walking stick---handcrafted from a palm tree stalk. It has an original light wood tone with a crook handle. This lovely rare cane is unique and durable. It measures approximately 31” in length overall with 6” wide handle and 3/4”-1" shaft diameter. Believed to be from the 1930s. A beautiful natural designed walking cane----one-of-a-kind item!
-----an Antique Walking Cane. I believe it to be a Congo Effect Wood cane--this effect is produced by pinching the growing stick/ branch at different intervals along its length a year or two before the harvest. These spots or wounds then grow over, making a knobby effect after the removal of the bark. There is a slight curve to the stick. It is 36" long with a rubber ferrule. Carved on the end of the handle are the letters "W.H." Gent's--Crook Handle---The letter "W" is also found near the ferrule. Believed to be from the 1920s.
-----Hand-Carved, Hand-Made Folk Art Walking Stick--ORIGINAL Snake Cane----This Incredible handmade Snake Creature was carved from a natural stick in a primitive fashion, though not lacking in details. Cane measures approx. 36" long. Well carved, lifelike rustic representation. An amazing story has been passed down with the cane. Neighbour hasn't assigned a price as yet as he only recently has decided to sell-----will take offers. Can send you pictures---running out of room for pictures.
