A very beautiful and elegant Victorian 14 carat gold and seed pearl brooch in superb antique condition. The brooch pin is in the Art Nouveau style and is exquisitely crafted in 14K yellow gold in the form of Lily of the Valley flowers, set with 28 natural seed pearls that imitate the white flowers of the plant and flow along the leaves. The brooch fastens with a pin and 'C' clasp in working order. The brooch is stamped 14K for 14 carat gold and has an arrow maker’s mark. Dimensions: The brooch is 5.08 cm long by 1.27 cm wide (2 inches x 0.5 inches) and weighs 4 grams (0.14 oz or 0.13 Troy ounce). During the Victoria era (1838-1901) pendants and brooches fashioned from seed pearls were immensely popular and often were given as gifts for brides to be.
