Antique Primitive Butter Press Stamp Molds
Description : 17 Apr, 2023
These antique wooden kitchen butter molds were used to form a block of butter taken from a churn. The butter was pushed into the press to make the rectangular block and the handle was depressed to push the block out. There are lines or grooves across the flat side of the press to stamp a decoration to the top of the butter. The wood has not been refinished or waxed but remains in its original condition with great patina. Only one stamp press available. Great piece for your primitive country, rustic kitchen. In good antique condition with some minor signs of wear and use. Shipping extra. Mold with press stamp is 4 2/8 inches high or 6 inches to top of press handle, 6 7/8 inches long and 2 5/8 inches deep. $40 Mold without press stamp is 4 2/8 inches high, 7 inches long and 2 ¾ inches deep. $20
