Beautiful antique solid tiger quarter sawn oak {chene} bow front display cabinet {vitrine}, probably built c1910. The exterior has a lovely reddish brown gold finish. The curved sides, and the leaded section has what appears to be original glass. This cabinet is ideal for displaying items like china, glasses, collectibles, and decorative items. Solid oak frame, shelves and legs. Four solid oak removable shelves each with two rear grooves to stand up dishes. Oak veneer covered plywood backing. Original brass door handle. Hand carved wood in upper corners. Door opens and closes well.

Structurally sound. In good to very good (8 / 10) antique condition. There are some minor superficial scratches, scuff marks, and water marks present, which can be removed through refinishing. Mostly original glass, with no cracks or chips. From a smoke free household. There may have been steel wheels on leg bases, but these have been removed. There is no particle board or MDF here. One wood shelf was cracked in half, length-wise, which was professionally repaired. Shelves each supported by 4 metal supports. One leg base front piece needs to be reattached (can be glued into place). Glass pane from bottom 3/4 of front door has been professionally replaced, after some of the photos were taken. So, now all glass is in place. Some water rings on top. Right rear leg has been repaired. Key for door lock is missing.

Appears to be missing the top backing piece (valence), on top rear exterior. I have a separate antique oak mirrored valence which could be attached to the top, or hung above the cabinet.

Dimensions: Exterior: 38” Wide x 59.75 inches High x 14” Deep; Interior : depth 11.5”; height 47” ; space between shelves 8.5 inches, with all 4 shelves in place. Shelf width rear: 34.5 inches. Shelf width front: 22 inches
