Antique Four 4 cast-metal chimney 'clean-out' covers

Antique 4 cast-metal chimney clean-out covers One (1) was likely made by the Canadian Heating and Ventilation Company – 1903 – 1917 is an 8-inch by 6-inch rectangular item, with emboss-cast lettering on the front side with "CH&V. CO./OWEN/SOUND" inside a raised rectangular margin line. There is a metal grip area to tug the cover off its usual position in order to access the interior of the chimney. The back side has two shaped latches, and two L-shaped guide ridges. There is no lettering on the back side. A 2 cm high latches. About 3.5 cm deep (including front pull and back latches) Cast lettering is 2.5 cm The additional three (3) with emboss-cast lettering on the front side with “ J. B. FERGUSON CO DUNDAS 6 x 9 CLEAN OUT “ . There is no lettering on the back side. The back side has two latches.
