Accountant/ AP Specialist - Barrie

Are you a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist or a General Accountant that has handled full cycle AP, in the Barrie area? Are you available for work now and ready for your next long term contract opportunity? If so, we want to talk to you! Randstad Finance & Accounting has partnered with a pharmaceutical industry leader, looking to bring in a skilled Accountant to manage their Accounts Payable functions during a maternity leave. Although this is starting off as a contract AP role, it has great potential to e permanent and grow into a General to Senior Accountant in the future.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounting professional in the Barrie area that is looking to get their foot in the door and really grow within a reputable organization.
Ideal candidates will have 3-5+ years of experience handling various accounting functions, with a focus on full cycle AP. Previous experience with SAP is an asset and the ability to learn and pick up new information quickly is required.

Responsibilities
Responsible for Accounts Payable and all invoicing pliance pany policies
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
Update financial records and reconcile against supporting documents
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Qualifications
3+ years Accounting experience including full cycle Accounts Payable
Post secondary degree/diploma in either Business Administration or Accounting
Previous experience with SAP is preferred
Great attention to detail
Ability to work onsite in Barrie full time
