Great opportunity to get a Character Baby by Kestner one of the top makers of bisque headed dolls. This little guy is perfect for display being only 11" and sits nicely. Has closed mouth , painted brown eyes, closed dome head (painted hair) Character babies has the left arm always bent (look) . He /she is jointed at shoulers and hips. Really quite perfect considering the age of this doll. Has the red lines on toes. This is not a reproduction !!! If you are a collector , one knows repros from original. Dressed in a finely knitted 2 piece blue outfit with trim . Fits perfectly and suits the doll.
Doll is marked: J D K with a number (can't read) , made in germany on back of neck. Bisque is a porcelain like material and is not glazed but has a flat look.
