72 Deluxe Microbus – 8 Passenger walk thru – fresh restoration – no rust California bus You’ve never seen a bus this clean and rust free. You’ve seen other ads proclaiming no rust but there is. There always is…. Isn’t there? Not on this one! Except for the battery tray, this entire bus is all the original metal. Her name is Cali. She was appraised by a professional in Dec 2022 at $70,000 CAD ($52,250 USD). The written appraisal is included with the sale of the bus. She is located at the Backwoods VW Rehab Centre near Clandeboye, Manitoba, Canada. I can assist your shipper with delivery / loading for those of you from far, far away. This barn find bus was brought back from California by a student / doctor after graduating studies there. It was never winter driven here. Sold to another local who overheated the engine and parked it indoors on a concrete floor for 20 plus years which is where I recovered it. After 5 years of on and off restoration work, it is finally ready for it’s new adventures! Engine /powertrain -new axle boots x 4 with CV service -replaced 3 rib 4 speed standard transmission, serviced -new clutch disc -new release bearing -CZ code 2.0l hyd lifter engine with full service and gasket reseal done, compression all 120-125 -new dual 40mm carbs -working heater box system with booster defrost fan -new battery -new muffler and heat shield -new electric fuel pump and filter / fuel lines -new fuel sender in tank, tank removed, cleaned etc Body / paint – Olympic white over Bermuda blue - single stage -new tail lights and lenses -new polished aluminum trim on the belt line -all new window seals -all new weather stripping -new windshield -3 new rear vent wind window assemblies -new front VW emblem -new halogen headlights -new front turn signal assemblies -new wiper blades -new windshield washer fluid jets with upgraded 12v electric pump in the exiting tank -new outside rear view mirrors x 2 -one key runs all the locks and the ignition pleted in the wheel well areas – to pleted once the new buyer appreciates the rust free original belly
