This beautiful, used ¾ size Michael Gerlach (Made in Romania, finished in the United States) es with a nickel-mounted Marco Raposo pernambuco bow and Bobelock fiberglass hard case. It is a modern Romanian workshop cello that has an even tone across the entire range with power plexity to match. It is a copy of a Giovanni B. Gabrielli of Venice, Italy c. 1750. A very popular cello in this price range, the Gerlach is played by protégé students in many youth orchestras.
Specifications: -Gorgeous deep reddish brown antiqued varnish -27 1/8” back length -25 1/8” string length -Highly flamed maple back, sides, and neck/select age spruce top -Solid carved ribs and back are made from maple that has a broad flame.
I paid $5,000 US for this outfit. Asking $4,250 CDN. I am located in east-end downtown Toronto.
