This outfit includes a stunning dress, and matching evening dress shawl-wrap (with sleeves) . Each can be worn separately or together. It's a Stephan Caras original (check out his Insta, FB and Twitter for examples of his work). Was almost $1000 new, and has never been worn.

It would be a stunning prom outfit for someone willing to make a strong individual statement. Great for fancy events of any kind - think gallery exhibition openings, award banquets, or weddings (so long as you don't upstage the bride in this red head-turner!)

The structured black and gold-embroidered bodice give structure and support to the otherwise red, sheer, twirly dress. The yoke of the panying sleeved shawl is similarly structured in black and gold embroidery. The rest of the shawl, like the dress, is a diaphanous gauzy red that twirls beautifully.

The dress is more hourglass-shaped than it appears in the photos. It hugs the waist a bit more and flares over hips and bust a bit more than the pictures suggest. The dress says size 6 but that may be vanity sizing. I think it's more of a 8, but it would fit a lot of people. It is stretchy enough to be a bit forgiving in the waist and bustline one way or another, and the hemline looks good falling at many points around the knee.

It's a high-fashion designer dress that quite a few differently-shaped people could wear. If you can imagine yourself in this dress, get it! It will make you feel like a supermodel on some important nights of your life.
