2010 Dodge Journey RT AWD

I do have a set of tires on alloy rims (tires are weather cracked) There is some rust showing on parts of vehicle it has had the rust proof done. The heat works on drivers side and blows cold on passenger side. Mechanic said it maight just be a gear wheel for the actuator?
