DISCLAIMER: this car has been pulled off the road (Nov, 2022) due to rust and requires a BODY INTEGRITY INSPECTION to be plateable. I’ve owned this car for a couple years. I bought it with 237k, installed a new clutch, lower control arm bushings, axle seals, trans fluid, brake and clutch fluid, battery, air filter, cabin air filter, fuel filter, thermostat, and started driving it. Over the next 22k I installed a new fuel pump module, RF wheel bearing, rear brakes (drums, shoes, hardware, park brake cables), and tires (the tires and wheels have since been traded for a set in poor condition). As previously mentioned, the body is very rusty so this car needs major body work to be registrable once again. The engine runs strong and smooth (2.2 ecotec, doesn’t use or leak oil, serviced every 5k with Formula Shell 5W30 conventional oil), the transmission has some worn synchros in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd but only grinds on downshifts if you’re going too fast. The car has illegal window tint, a newer windshield with no chips, no major dents, plenty of scratches and flakes/chips in the paint. Interior is clean with some wear on the driver seat and driver door handle has peeling chrome. Outer driver door handle was broken upon my purchase so I installed a lag bolt lol, it worked for me. Power windows and locks (locks don’t work very well, windows work fine). The turn signals don’t turn themselves off and the aftermarket radio is a bit finicky and only the rear speakers work. The car was last being used to travel between Lloyd and Saskatoon and it drives well on the highway, I felt a bit of a vibration in the driveline and sometimes there is a noise in the transmission when the car is idling in neutral. Stock exhaust. After a while the engine es on and there is an EVAP code and a Catalytic converter code (assumed to be the downstream O2 sensor or the cat is starting to fail, I didn’t notice any loss of power though).
