$850 per month for rent for one person, $1000 per month for rent two people and utilities extra paid to landlord: gas, hydro, water - approximately $125+ per month for one person and internet extra paid to upstairs tenant every month approximately $30 per month for one person. Utilities split into 3 if two people in basement and copy of utility bills sent to tenants upon arrival for exact amounts.
Partially finished, semi shared basement apartment (has a private side entrance) where the upstairs kitchen, downstairs laundry area and fenced in back yard, garden and shed are shared with the person (Steve) living upstairs. Steve (early 30s) will continue to live in the house (upstairs) and is a hotel manager - quiet and keeps to himself and on occasion will host dinner parties, but is always respectful of schedules.
Downstairs that's available to rent are two bedrooms (finished) that has a private bathroom within the main bedroom, a second bedroom/office space and living room area with dining table which would be exclusively used by the basement tenant. There is a fridge and microwave area but no kitchen (must share kitchen upstairs).
Street parking and some space in a back yard shed are available, lots of storage space downstairs as well.
Can be partially furnished and can include downstairs a double sized bed and mattress, couch, dining table and chairs for 4, living room rug and possibly other items. Landlord has some storage in the basement.
It's in the beautiful and safe Mariday Park neighbourhood in Port Arthur close to Lakehead University and Hillcrest Park near the intersection of John Street and Marlborough Street. Super safe area and one of the best neighbourhoods in Thunder Bay, close to popular downtown core but not far from the outdoors and is a central location so 10-15 minutes to get anywhere in town. It's down the street from an elementary school and the neighbours are all very nice.
