Large antique Scottish 19th Century hanging cast iron griddle plate or bakestone skillet. Double sided with very intricate detailed hand forged elongated diamond pattern on the back. Would add a very interesting touch to your finished product Large antique Scottish 19th Century hanging cast iron griddle plate. Otherwise known as a bakestone or swing skillet.
Traditional Scottish cookware. Placed on the fire or hot plate for making cakes or drop scones, eggs etc. In excellent working order with perfectly smooth operation of handle and locking mechanism, a no nonsense piece of Scottish history. Larger than usual Is in pristine condition all around! Has no cracks or chips and sits perfectly flat! Has been professionally cleaned, well seasoned and is ready to be used!
