1998 GMC Sierra K1500 6.5L turbo diesel. This truck has been good to me. But it's time to sell.
This is a Manitoba truck. It has spent most of its time in Western Canada. Ontario registered for a number of years. When it came to Ontario it was not winter driven. With that said, it has a bit of rust starting. Not bad. But don't expect perfect. The underbody is VERY good on this truck- not rotted out like most.
Don't let the kilometers scare you. Transmission shifts good, 4x4 works good, engine works good.
There is one thing it needs, and I will price it with and without this being done. It needs the flex plate replaced (flywheel). It began to rattle on a trip to Niagara Falls one day. It still drove home but I didn't trust it further.
Leather interior in decent shape except for drivers seat. It needs a replacement seat bottom cover (ebay has them for a good deal). The truck is clean. It has an aftermarket stereo in it, but I do have the factory unit to put back in if desired that still works. No hacked wiring.
The 6.5 has served us very well. Has a remote mounted PMD (if you know these engines, you know). Engine runs great, good power, GREAT fuel economy. I was averaging around 25mpg with this truck driving it normally around here.
It has the rails for a 5th wheel hitch, and the factory bumper hitch. It has a spray in bed liner, except not on the tail gate. It also has a 300 liter slip tank connected via hose to the main tank.
The starter was replaced in/around 2017, as was the turbocharger with plete new unit. New batteries in 2019, always kept charged even during storage. New oil cooler and oil cooler lines in early 2020. (aircraft grade hose, better than OEM)
The tailgate was replaced and should be sprayed to the correct colour. It was spray bombed to match as a temporary replacement.
$7500 if I replace the flex plate $6500 if you buy it as it is.
Open to reasonable offers, but I am not desperate to sell at all. Located near Langton, Ontario. Clean Ontario title.
I will not safety the truck. There is a very little bit of rust starting on the lower cab corners and a bit over the right rear wheel well. It should still pass, but I will let the buyer deal with that.
