This 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser KZJ78 Prado SX is a right-hand-drive example that was built in January 1996 and imported to the United States from Japan in February 2022. Finished in silver-blue with a tan and brown fleck cloth, the truck is powered by a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Features include 15” steel FJ40 wheels, Dobinsons shocks and springs with BFG All terrain 33” tires and air conditioning. Recent work carried out by seller consists of an oil change along with a fuel filter, and air filter. This 70-Series Prado shows 124k kilometers (~74k miles) and is now offered with Oregon title.

IG: @cascadeoverlandimports 70 Series Land Cruisers were not imported into the US but saw use in Japan, Africa, Australia and Central/South America. Driving a RHD is easily undertaken on US roadways and requires very little time to adjust. Parts are readily available and many Toyota shops will eagerly work on these vehicles. Originally finished in silver champagne metallic paint, the body was repainted its current shade of metallic grey-blue during restoration in Japan. An eclectic mirror is standard to the passenger-side fender, featuring window rain guards and additional features include headlamp washers, adjustable side mirrors, aftermarket window tint, chrome bumpers, running boards, and a hitch receiver. The truck features electric locking front hubs and has been fitted with a lift kit with aftermarket shocks and springs. The seats are upholstered in tan and brown fleck covered in tan faux leather seat covers and matching upholstery extends to the carpeting and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, power accessories and floor mats. Original wood grain trim steering wheel sits ahead of a 170-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 4,400-rpm redline. The odometer shows just over 124k kilometers (~74k miles). The cargo area features third row seating, tie downs and rear windows that kick out for additional ventilation. The 3.0-liter 1KZ-TE turbodiesel inline-four transfers power to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission via a dual range transfer case. Service performed in preparation for the sale included a replacement air filter, and fuel filter along with an oil change. The 78 series was imported from Yokohama Japan into Portland, OR and now titled in Oregon after passing air quality control. All importation documents are available along with a local inspection from a JDM experienced Toyota shop.
