Fiat 124 Sport Spider with four seats, manufactured from 1966 to 1985 in Turin, Italy at 198,120 cars, 170,720 for the American market and rest for Europe. The master Pininfarina oversaw the design of the car.
The belt-driven Fiat twin-cam 1800 cc engine was designed by ex-Ferrari four-cylinder engine designer Aurelio Lampredi, is very sophisticated. An engine with double overhead shafts and Weber 34 DMS dual body carburetion producing 118 hp 6000 rpm.
The 124 Spider's platform features strut-type suspension up front and a solid axle rear with Panhard bar, coil springs, and trailing arms. Brakes are hydraulic discs at all four corners, five-speed manual gearbox. The 124 Spider has a wonderfully simple folding top design that could be operated one-handed by the driver from the front seat at a stoplight.
This sporty car is like a car from the factory runs beautifully. Spark plugs and oil changed in Sept. 2022.

Le moteur Fiat à double-cam de 1800 cm3, entraîné par courroie et conçu par l'ex-concepteur de moteurs quatre cylindres de Ferrari, Aurelio Lampredi, est très sophistiqué. Un moteur à double arbre en tête et carburation Weber 34 DMS à double corps produisant 118 ch à 6000 tr/min.
La plate-forme de la 124 prend une suspension à jambes de force à l'avant et un essieu solide à l'arrière avec barre Panhard, ressorts hélicoïdaux et bras oscillants. Les freins sont des disques hydrauliques aux quatre coins, et la boîte de vitesses manuelle à cinq rapports. La 124 Spider est dotée d'une capote rabattable merveilleusement simple que le conducteur peut actionner d'une seule main depuis le siège avant à un feu rouge.
Cette voiture sportive me une voiture d'usine fonctionne à merveille. Bougies et huile changées en septembre 2022.
Jamais conduite en hiver. Un véhicule rare au Québec avec un très faible kilométrage.
