1970s TEAK CABINET 2 Shelves, Doors, Scandinavian Modern REFF

Reff modular unit from the early 1970s, with a thick teak veneer on all faces. There is one adjustable shelf inside so a total of 2 inner storage surfaces. The double doors have recessed "handles" for easy access to the interior of the cabinet without regular handles to interrupt the sleek, minimalist lines. The doors stay closed with a magnetic latch and have strong hinges that allow 180 degree opening. The teak cabinet measures: 64.5 cm. (25-3/8 in.) high, 83 cm. (32-5/8 in.) wide, and 45.5 cm. (17-7/8 in.) deep. The cabinet is in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of use despite being 50 years old. Three corners of the veneer on the top end panels have been badly re-glue (by me); it is not too noticeable, but if the buyer chooses they could easily be properly repaired (see final 2 photos for the damaged/glued edges). Those 3 corners are also visible in photo 4 showing the top of the unit, so you can see it is not very noticeable. Reff, which was made in Toronto, and later bought by Knoll, was well-known and respected in the design circles of the 1970s for its excellent quality and streamlined modular furniture in mid-century Scandinavian style. This piece is vintage but the design is timeless.
