THE INTRO e to your new tiny home away from home! This 1969 - 31’ Airstream International Sovereign Land Yacht travel trailer has retained about 97% of its original charm over the years!
THE GOOD The aluminum shell on this Airstream is one of the cleanest all original I’ve seen on a 50+ year old vintage unit. One or two very small dings along with some minor surface scratches are all that exist (and the latter e out with a polish)
The plumbing has all been upgraded and the Electrical, gone over by a Journeyman.
Newer mattresses, bedding, flooring and refrigerator.
Factory Walnut millwork option.
The dreaded clear coat doesn’t exist on this trailer's aluminum shell as it wasn’t yet standard for Airstream to apply them in the late 60’s. Therefore, if you did decide to polish it one day, the cost and work involved would be much, much less.
All original Owens Corning Glass windows and frames in good shape.
The underbelly skin pletely clean and intact, not a mangled mess like the majority of them as this has truly seen very little towing over the years (It was mainly used as a guest house by the previous owner who owned it for about 25 years)
New LED marker lights will be installed for the new owner all around the exterior.
Recently cleaned and professionally re-caulked around all of the roof top penetrations (vents, AC, skylights, etc)… there were no leaks but it was pretty messy looking before. Looks clean and neat now! None of the systems gas / water have been fired up for the last 2 year now so its quite likely that a few hours with an RV Tech. will be required to blow out the lines etc before getting them started again. No doubt it will be a smooth transition though and this is something I’m willing to happily arrange for.
Tows like a dream at 4995 lbs dry weight! (520lbs @ the hitch)
THE BAD There is one small water leak in a copper, potable water line. Its easily accessible and should only be a 20 minute fix.
The tires would likely get you home but they're showing some cracking so I'd rather have 4 new ones installed and the bearings repacked before the new owner takes it away. This work (tires and bearings) is included in the price as well, to pleted AFTER a deposit is received.
THE OUTTRO That’s about it. This CLEAN, SOLID and UNADULTERATED Vintage Airstream only requires you to put in a day or two’s work to be operating at full capacity. Perfect unit for those who love the original interior and perhaps want to polish it up some day!!
