1950’s Vintage 6’ Duncan Phyfe Style Drop Leaf Dining Set

- This dining set is truly a RARE FIND! - This exquisite 6’ Long Duncan Phyfe Style Drop Leaf Dining Set is in EXCELLENT condition. The table was only ever used for special occasion dinners and was always covered with a protective table pad; - Set was purchased new and has been in my family since the late 1950’s; - Stamp on the underside of the table and all chairs shows the manufacturer as KRUG Furniture (Since 1886); - Set is solid wood which I believe to be walnut as we also had a China Cabinet by the same manufacturer and the tag on the back stated ‘walnut’; - Table has drop leaf sides es with an additional 12”W Centre Leaf and 6 Chairs; - Fully open table with centre leaf measures 71”L x 36”W x 28¾”H; - Table with centre leaf in and drop leaf sides folded down measures 40¾”L; - Table legs end in Antique Style Solid Brass Duncan Phyfe Lion Feet Foot Caps; - Chairs have been re-upholstered with a needlepoint covering with each chair having a different pattern; - The 2 unmatched ( but very similar in style) chairs are included to allow a table seating of 8 people; - The table can be set up several different ways to seat anywhere from 2 to 8 people (e.g. centre leaf out and both ends down to make it a 2 seater table, centre leaf in and ends up or down to seat 4 or centre leaf in and both ends extended to seat 6 or even 8). - Comes from a smoke free and pet free home in the North end of Brantford ON - Will accept a REASONABLE offer!!
