1929 FORD “SHORTY” ALL STEEL CLOSED CAB PICKUP HIGH END METICULOUS, CREATIVE & DETAILED BUILD ESTATE SALE - SHOW STOPPER

History: Meticulously built by a professional machine industry expert skilled at machining, tool and die work and custom fabrication - which shows at every glance in this truck. promised quality in every detail with many one-of-a-kind features and details. Completed in 2016. Flawless paint! Countless hours went into this build with massive amounts of passion and attention to perfect detail. Dubbed “SHORTY”, this black beauty is definitely a head turner and a Show stopper! Rare opportunity on this truck.

Body: ALL STEEL with smooth firewall. Stock sheet metal – no chop and all gaps were micro metered to perfection. No fender welting was used/needed because all body panels were made to fit perfectly. Original door release and roll up windows. Custom fabricated and approved chrome moli roll cage. Flawless paint – not a chip, mark or scratch. Grey tint glass. Body exterior and interior painted in black base coat/clear coat. Roof and visor are finished in black Mercedes Hartz cloth. Stainless steel grill. Custom fabricated aluminum sub frame for the truck box. Box has oak decking and polished stainless divider strips. Custom tailgate with unique custom fabricated cam lock latches. Stainless struts lift part of the box floor to expose the brake master cylinder, battery (with custom hold down), fuel filter, fuel regulator and filler ports for the dual gas tanks. Gas caps have 1929 (truck year) and 1945 (builders birth year) fifty cent coins embedded into them. All new glass. Rootlieb hood with custom fabricated latches. Front bumper has a polished stainless-steel medallion with a 14 K gold coin embedded that states “No Cash Value” – which pleted and presented to the owner/builder days before his passing.

Frame/Chassis/Suspension: TCI custom reinforced frame – frame and all brackets are powder coated in black. All aluminum structural panels are anodized in black – hard etched and clear etched hard. 4 link rear and TCI Magnum chrome 4 inch dropped tube front axle.

Engine: Custom-built small block Chevy 427 Stroker dynoed at 520 HP and 560 ft. lbs. of torque. Highly modified Airgap aluminum intake c/w increased plenum. 750 HOLLEY carburetor. New 4 core WALKER radiator. Intake, valve covers, air breather, thermostat housing and water pump are ceramic coated in natural aluminum. 40-amp alternator with custom made polished aluminum brackets. All wiring is hidden in custom fabricated ducts inside frame rails. MSD ignition box, coil and relays are hidden behind the dash. Fuse panel hinges down from under the dash for easy access. Taillights have period correct visible cloth braided wires and the battery disconnect is below the tailgate. Toggle switches for line lock, convertor lock and electric exhaust cut outs are located on the driver’s side seat riser.

Trans: Professionally rebuilt (Bob’s Driveline Service Ltd.) 700R4 with cooler (custom aluminum cold air scoop) and floor shifter. Differential: 9-inch CURRIE with 4:11 gears. Exhaust: Headers ponents are black powder coated. Electric cut outs. Brakes: Front disc and drum rear with 7-inch brake booster.

Wheels: GFORCE TA spoke. Tires: BF Goodrich front 225 60R 14 and rear 295 65R 15 in like new condition.

Interior: Custom interior by Classic Threadz. Sculpted door panels, firewall insert, kick panels, visor and headliner and covered in leather. Custom “rose” patterns are embroidered into the upper inner panels. Black English Leather bench seat with seats belts and shoulder harness. Oak bows and headers. Tilt steering column. AUTO METER gauges. partment under seat accessed by flipping the seat forward with hidden cantilevered hinges. Multiple Interior LED lights. Stock 4 spoke steering wheel.

Extras included: Car cover. Photo album and show sign. Options and Special Features: Dual fuel tanks. OPTIMA battery accessible in box. Old fashioned “Aooga” horn.
